The Joint

The Joint was a band led by musician Rick Davies.
Steve Jolliffe discussed his time in the band in Steve’s featured interview in Dreams Word #16.
Steve explained that he joined the group in his native England, just before the band relocated to Switzerland for work. While in Switzerland, the band was hired to perform in the obscure art film “The Haunting.” Steve had a conversation with the film’s composer, who recommended that Steve relocate to Berlin to study at the Berlin Konservatorium. Being in Berlin led to Steve meeting Edgar Froese and joining Tangerine Dream.

After Steve left, The Joint disbanded and Rick Davies co-founded Supertramp, a group which had enormous commercial success.
Stanley August Miesegaes was the financing source for both of these bands (The Joint and Supertramp) featuring Rick Davies.
